Nycetia Avis: tutor and Governess to Lucette, and confidant, friend, and ally of Cossette. I hope you like her!
Nycetia was a difficult character to put together -- if only because her past contains so much information, none of which is by any means particularly happy. Her background is pretty twisted, and up until now I've only ever sprinkled hints about it in the fanfiction.
In the upcoming third arc, however, more about Nycetia's history is revealed and a couple of big questions about her are answered. Even so, she'll probably end up being one of those characters where the surprises don't cease with her anytime soon...hehehe...
In all, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out -- although I maintain that the original sketch in the sketchbook turned out so much nicer. The underskirt of the gown -- along the with cuffs at her elbows and the lapels along the neckline -- were suppose to turn out a lot darker than this. But, I'm satisfied. Ethyria was a huge help in getting this on camera at 3:30 in the morning...
Also, this picture contains some of my very first attempts at digital touch-ups, and the skilled eye will know what to look for. So, please have mercy and don't look too closely -- please? Please!?
For some reason, though, when I originally designed her, I kept thinking of frigging Lulu from FFX. Hm. Weird.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this! Ciao!
