Real mood: Relief.
It was another good workday today. I'm happy with the progress I've been making so far. If I keep the pace I'm holding now, I should be able to have everything finished within the next week or so. I'm also counting on the fact that Mom and Dad are going to be away in New Hampshire for my nephew's birthday, so that means I get the computer all to myself for about twenty-four hours. This pleases me...yes, yes it does...
As good as that is, however, I still have to make the time to rip up the linoleum in my bathroom at some point this weekend. I'm waiting until people are out of the house, just so they can't hear me cuss if I happen to screw up...
Tomorrow, I'm running errands with Mom. Now that Dad's car is back, we can avoid having to leave at some ungodly hour in the morning again...
HOLY CRAP I TOTALLY FORGOT TO CALL EMILY!!
Meh. I'll tackle that after this. I'm not expecting to get a whole lot of work done tomorrow, but in the event that plans with Emily fall through and on their ass, tomorrow will be another repeat of today.
Hey, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm thrilled to be working again. At least I'm doing something with my time, now, as opposed to just sitting and doing nothing...
Okay -- off to the next thing!
Until next!

But sitting and doing nothing can still be done with a notebook, and random trails of thought can lead to the best story ideas.
That's very true, but for me, sitting and doing nothing means just that: sitting and doing NOTHING. There's only so much of that I can take...

Why don't you keep a notebook around for your nothingness? There are at least 3 of mine floating around the house, and 15 in my bedroom with bits and pieces of notes in them.
I used to...then I got fed up with trying to keep track of the same thing...

Yeah, it's so annoying to find the notes on one character or topic when you have no idea which notebook you scribbled down those ideas in.
Exactly -- which why I'm the process right now of centralizing my notes -- just so everything isn't scattered between a multitude of different files...
