Actual Mood: Deflated. :depressed:

Things have settled in their own way since my moody entry as of yesterday. After nearly having a bit of a meltdown at the sink as I drove my way through the spawning pile of dishes, I eventually calmed enough to see that I was overtired and therefore cranky. Cranky Rivi is cranky. Plain and simple. :|

The rest of the evening proved to be a lot smoother. Once I had food in my system and some place to simply retreat, I thought better of my lot in life and realized that what set me off was my sister's tone when she informed me that it was my turn to do the dishes because she had apparently done them the night before -- and that I was to do them Monday night as well. Huh? :o

I don't have a problem with the dishes -- what is there to bitch about? It's an excuse to play in soapy water for a bit -- nothing overly horrible, as far as I am concerned. I just want to know what I'm DOING, here, folks! I don't give a shit about doing chores -- I just find it slightly more polite to let me know what I'm supposed to be doing before, you know, I sit down to get some of my own work done. A bit of courtesy, is all... :shrug:

As for today, it was fine until I pulled classic bone-head move #192 and jumped the gun a bit. But, that's it's own scenario that I've already hashed out to a friendly ear (thanks, Ems...! :tighthug:)...but let's just say that the feeling of being a dipwad has yet to go away, any. But, that's what mornings are for -- a chance to start over, in the grand sense of things... :nod:

...Provided I get a good night's sleep and there's a cup of coffee to greet me in the morning... :yawn:

But, on the positive flip of today, I got a wonderful start on chapter eight of the MxC collab -- and right now, I'm forcing myself to stop for the day and go do something else so I can tackle it nice and fresh in the morning... :sun:

So, that's all from here...now to go crawl under a rock hoarding a bowl of ice cream or something to make me feel better so I can get over myself... :phew:

Yeah...hindsight being what it is...I'm once again a little jittery...mostly because I realize now that the initial panic was totally unnecesary...God I wish life had a rewind button... :ohmygod:

See, I tend to see doing the dishes as something mindless. My hands know what they're doing...my mind can wander elsewhere. It's not a bad way of doing things... :nod:

...Unless I'm working with the carving knives, and then that's an issue... ^^;

It did . . . after much teeth gnashing and redrawing of features at the 11th hour (both literally and figuratively). Not to mention wanting to bite pencils in two due to the annoying behavior of my children last night while I was trying to concentrate.:dohtwo:
