...Basically, being able to work by my own terms and not having to consider anyone else...
It's awesome. Entirely.
Of course, this is where someone comes in with, "Well, then, Rivi, why not get yourself a laptop?"
Damn, that's cute.
Truth is, I tend to kill laptops. Granted, the two I had were both stone aged hand-me-down pieces of CRAP, but the fact remains that I don't really care for them, nor do they especially like me. Hence, it's become something of a live-and-let-live policy between us.
Maybe one day my attitude will soften, but don't bet on it any time soon...
In other news, chapter eight for MxC is almost done...I just need to work with Detsiny a little bit on the dialogue (which should be amusing...it's between Cossette and Mael...how can it NOT be hilarious...?
Furthermore, guess what: THE NEW SHOWER STALL WILL BE DONE BY TOMORROW!!
This essentially means it can be put back into use as of tomorrow evening...
...And now it boils down to who gets to be first to use the new stall and bless it...
Personally I would like to be the first, but that's just me...
Apart from that, though, there really isn't much going on in life right now. I've been buried in my work for the last two days, coming up every now and again for air, water, and food, and making sure my nephew hasn't gone and impaled himself on something...
Yes, I feel it's safe to say -- and I know I've already said it to a few of you -- that my nephew is doing an excellent job at serving as the ultimate form of birth control...and more than that, he's proven to me that God has a sick, twisted sense of humor...
Basically, me and my nephew are the same: we're both stubborn, we're both indifferent to the rest of humanity, and we both prefer to go off into our own little worlds rather than do something productive like, say, review flashcards in preparation for school in September. Growing up, my sister failed to understand that this was simply how I was as a child, and now that she's seeing me reflected in her son, she's kind of beside herself a bit. As for me, I'm feeling nothing short of vindicated...
...And just a touch humored.
Well, that's all for right now. I have to cut back as much as I can from chapter eight so I have plenty of room for Mael and Cossette's latest tiff. He won round one -- let's see if Cossi can recover at all...
Until next!
