MICHAEL JACKSON IS ALSO DEAD!!
WHO THE FUCK IS NEXT...!!?
Seriously...big deaths come in three's...who else is poorly these days...?
Okay, I'm sorry. Understand that Michael Jackson was a household name for me and my sister as we were growing up -- right along with so many others of our generation. I'm just...BLOWN AWAY.
As for Farrah Fawcett...dear madam...you were brave right to the end. From this little corner of the country, my prayers go to you and to your family. May you rest well and long, and return to us one day all the stronger.
Blessings be.
In other news...
WE CAN HAS SHOWER...!!
Yep, the new stall is fully functional and ready for use. No idea who's going to get in there first tonight -- either way I'm slipping in there at 9:00, provided no one else has beaten me there...
God, this is FANTASTIC!!
Not only that, but we got our first major thunderstorm this evening -- and the noise ain't over yet...
Basically, I flipped on the weather channel before heaidng out to work to check and see what was going on, if anything. The day had done nothing but build up pressure and humidity, so I was expecting it to break relatively soon...
...I did NOT, however, expect it to break just as I was getting into the car.
Needless to say, Anne and I only got so much work done today before we had to hustle the horses inside. The rain basically followed me from my house out to Anne's barn, so we cleared the stalls, got the horses in with hay and fresh water, and that was all we could do before it COMPLETELY dumped on us.
Ever tried to talk to someone in a tin-roofed stable when it's raining cats and dogs out...?
"TURN OFF THE WATER...!!"
"WHAT...!!?
"THE WATER!!"
"WAFFLES!!?"
"WATER!!"
"OH!!"
Yeah...good times...
The fightening part, though, was the lightning. Anne was telling me that a friend of hers lost a horse a few years back because it had been struck by lightning as she was going to call the horses in -- just as this HUGE streak of lightning flashed down over the lower pasture. Ack.
But, the horses were in and watered and hayed before I left -- Anne ended up driving me home early rather than have me wait out the storm at her place. It just seemed like a better idea that way...
Finally, MxC chapter's eight is almost complete. Dest and I worked on dialogue this afternoon -- Cossette and Mael all the way, man!
...And even though it's another of their classic tiffs, I couldn't help but get the feeling that the both of them were like, "Throw me down and shag me senseless, baby."
...I suppose that's what you get when you try to make two characters who actually love each other fight...
Well, that's all for now...time for ice cream!
Until next!

Oh dear, and I can certainly sympathise on the weather front. I've been inside for every painful hour of our heat waves and outside in every second of our vicious downpours. The weather is fickle. I can hear it laughing overhead...
Glad your shower is working, by the way! Funnily enough, we just had our new one installed as well... it buzzes. I keep thinking some big ol' beastie's joining me for a wash. Thoroughly unpleasant.

The weather always laughs. Just remember: little boys who tells lies grow up to be weathermen...
Buzzes? My dad recommends you take a look at the pipes -- just to be safe. But I suppose if nothing is leaking...it should be okay...
